Two Hip Hop Tracks Rate As Favorite Music For Psychopaths –

Two Hip Hop Tracks Rate As Favorite Music For Psychopaths -A new study from New York University has found that Hip Hop is the favorite musical genre psychopaths.

Researchers asked 200 people to listen to 260 songs.  Those with the highest psychopathic scores were most likely to be Hip Hop fans.

The researchers also found that the Eminem track ‘Lose Yourself’ and the Blackstreet track ‘No Diggity’ were “strikingly popular” with psychopaths. They declined to fer a ranking songs beyond that in fear influencing further studies.

The researchers are trying to see if there’s a real connection between musical tastes and psychopathy. If there is, they want to know whether a playlist songs could predict potential psychopaths.

About one percent people are psychopaths. But about 20 percent those in prison are.

The 20 traits associated with psychopathy are glib and superficial charm, grandiose estimation self, need for stimulation, pathological lying, cunning and manipulativeness, lack remorse or guilt, shallow affect, callousness and lack empathy, parasitic lifestyle, poor behavioral controls, sexual promiscuity, early behavior problems, lack realistic long-term goals, impulsivity, irresponsibility, failure to accept responsibility for own actions, many short-term marital relationships, juvenile delinquency, revocation conditional release and criminal versatility.

Perhaps they will have to add a need for bagging it up and mom’s spaghetti to that list.
